Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all operational functions, ensuring high-quality, discreet and responsive service delivery
- Lead and develop diverse specialist teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Drive the planning and delivery of the Capital Works Program and ongoing maintenance, aligned with heritage and operational requirements
- Ensure strong governance, compliance and risk management, including Workplace Health and Safety
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting and performance reporting
- Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, government agencies, service providers and industry specialists
- Represent the Office in key forums and committees
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience leading complex operational environments with diverse, trade-based and specialist teams
- Proven ability to deliver high-end operational services, ideally in hospitality, facilities, estates, or similarly demanding environments
- Strong strategic, financial and project management capability, including capital works and asset management
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
- A sound understanding of governance, WHS, compliance and risk management frameworks
- The ability to operate effectively in dynamic, high-pressure and high-profile environments with discretion and sound judgement
A relevant tertiary qualification in business, facilities or project management, hospitality, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
Additional Information
- The role may require work outside standard business hours to support operational requirements and official events.
- Direct reports: 3 | Team size: approximately 24 plus casual employees.
