Job Description • This role will act as the India Country Head of Global Markets Operations (GMO), located in Mumbai • Oversight of ~ 40-45 team members in country • The role is a direct report to the regional Head of GMO • The India Head of Market Operations is the oversight and governance lead for all Market Operations functions (as it relates to India entities) for all stakeholders and business partners. • This role will act as the dedicated and centralized manager of India Operations (GMO) deliverables as they pertain to regulatory, audit and market-driven requirements. Responsibilities • Managing the integrity of day to day controls and governance across processed by the GMO teams which provides end to end support to local entities in India • Liaison stakeholders including: • Line of Business e.g Equity & FICC front office • Finance • Technology • Exchanges and Industry Forums • Managing internal and external audits / inspections etc as GMO representative • Participating as GMO representative in regional / country / entity leadership meetings • Coordinating with regional and global teams to execute initiatives and activities for the region • Coordinating regional strategic planning (including location strategy, expense management, forecasting and allocations) for India GMO • Maintain a robust control environment for governance and oversight, remediation and new products • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of Ops metrics, analysis and reporting framework • Embed policy and governance frameworks to ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance • Lead the implementation of policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, across the operations portfolio of work • Be aware of operational risks, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, and any impact of new technologies. • Embed conduct risk • Demonstrate leadership for teams to drive innovative solutions towards global, regional and local priorities
