Description
The Director, Portfolio and Investment is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the QAS ICT investments and assurance.
This position plays a crucial role in overseeing alignment of ICT investments with business objectives, ensuring optimal returns, and driving digital transformation.
The role manages the evaluation, selection, and prioritisation of ICT projects based on their potential impact and strategic value, and be responsible for providing expert, strategic advice to the Program Board on all projects, to ensure resolution of key issues and risks, enabling their successful delivery.
Demonstrated high level expertise in leading and managing ICT portfolio and investment within a complex and diverse organisational environment.
Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated experience with the concepts, strategies and issues associated with public sector ICT, portfolio and investment management and related services.
Ability to take initiative and apply critical thinking to make and rationalise business decisions and provide recommendations.in high pressure environments.
Exceptional skills in interpersonal, communication, negotiation and consultation skills with the proven ability to build productive relationships and liaise effectively with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders in an environment of change.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
Whilst not mandatory, a Management of Portfolios (MoP), P3M3 or P3O certification in an ICT/information Management context will be highly regarded.
Whilst not mandatory, knowledge, awareness and/or understanding of the Queensland Government Information Standard 2 (IS2) ICT Strategic Resources Planning policy would be highly regarded.
