Overall purpose of role
The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment, framework and operational concepts & principles which govern the Private Bank business in India. Responsibility for the implementation of the right set of procedures and practices, benchmarked to the highest level of global standards, maintaining sound risk management; delivering great client service whilst ensuring that control and financial crime measures are effective to the global standard. The role will be focused on building increased efficiency and effectiveness across the existing operating platform to deliver outstanding client and colleague centric journey's.
- Provide excellent front-to-back operational support to meet the demands of the India Private Bank, Domestic business, clients and regulators in India. We aim to achieve this through optimal utilisation of the local footprint, strong stakeholder partnerships, lean processes and highly engaged colleagues including those that support in the service company
- Managing process performance in line with agreed service levels and targets. Drive a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the Private Bank and related customer business areas.
Person Specification
Minimum Qualification required:
- A high level of focus on strategic vision and leadership
- Strong understanding of relevant and up-to-date, technical knowledge, applications, techniques and changing regulatory environment and its impact on Operations in the India Private Bank market and globally.
- Excellent project management skills and a proven track record of implementing change.
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Insight into external market developments and initiatives
- Result oriented and commercial mindset.
- Ability to guide the development of local leadership and talent.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of the operational procedures and regulatory requirements of the Private Bank and Wealth business in India. Minimum 12 -15 years' experience in a banking operation
