Position Purpose
To lead and oversee the Trade Finance operations functions, ensuring operational excellence and timely delivery of services while minimizing error and risk. Would be responsible for driving process improvements, optimizing resource allocation and establishing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet the overall business objective and Organizational goal at large

• Risk and Process Control
• Minimizing operational failure, including the risk of fraud and implementing sufficient regular controls
• Ensuring appropriate escalation to management and/or Compliance as soon as an issue is identified
• Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
• Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
• Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
• Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System
• People
• Assist in team management including resource allocation & tasks planning
• Helping setting up objectives for team members & assist in personal development planning includes training course planning, coaching & regular feedback.
• Ensure to manage with transparency to develop a collaborative & truthful work environment with teams

• Process
• Day-to-Day production process in Scrutinizing documents drawn under Export and Import Letter of Credits and to handle/process complex transactions that could not be processed by the Trade BO team and referred to COE team
• Scrutinize threshold documents as per terms and conditions of Letters of Credit and International guidelines (UCP 600 and ISBP).
• Control / Validate Above Threshold transactions in various systems.
• Ensure that transactions processed as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and within specified TAT.
• Handle and process Complex transactions.
• Highlight any procedural change / modifications in SOPs as and when required.
• Update all relevant control plans.
• Manage the daily production queue for outstanding items provide reports to management.
• Ensure the adherence to ISO guidelines.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
• Knowledge on UCP 600, ISBP 745, URR 725 and URC 522
• Knowledge of ICC Opinions
• Process performance evaluation, analysis and improvement
• Familiarity with computer applications, MS-Office, Business Objects etc..
• Familiarity with Banking Back Office Operations, Processes and Systems.
• Knowledge on various regulations connected with Trade Finance Operations
