Job Summary:

The Director of Warehouse & Logistics will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, from receiving and storage to inventory management and shipping. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in transforming operations, developing robust metrics, and aligning operations with the overall company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Management Leadership:
• Lead transformative initiatives to enhance productivity and safety within the warehouse, while also driving cultural and management change.
• Work closely with management to align leadership practices with operational goals, fostering a cohesive and unified approach across the organization.
• Establish and maintain high standards for both operational excellence and management effectiveness, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Oversee and optimize all warehouse functions, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

KPI & Metrics Development:
• Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to measure and enhance warehouse operations and management effectiveness.
• Utilize data-driven insights to continuously assess performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive operational success and leadership excellence.
• Regularly report on KPIs and metrics to senior leadership, providing actionable recommendations for both operational improvements, and strategic management initiatives

Continuous Improvement:
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by introducing lean principles, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies across operations and management teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices that drive operational efficiency and management excellence.
• Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and eliminate inefficiencies while promoting innovation and leadership development.

Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute strategic plans for warehouse operations that align with the company's long-term goals and management strategies.
• Collaborate with senior management on initiatives related to warehouse modernization, ensuring operational and managerial preparedness.
• Manage the warehouse budget while aligning financial and management objectives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse and people management, with a strong background in developing and implementing KPIs and metrics.
• Proven experience in leading and transforming operations and management practices.
• Strong knowledge in continuous improvement methodologies such as lean principles, Six Sigma or similar.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies is a must have.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams and effective management structures
• Strong analytical, critical, and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience in change management would be a great asset.
