We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and empathetic Support Worker in Canberra.
The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, community participation, and providing companionship that aligns with the client’s lifestyle and interests.
What We Are Looking For
Cultural Connection: Our client has a strong preference for a support worker with a deep understanding of local Australian culture, customs, and community life to help foster a relatable and comfortable environment.
Communication: Excellent English communication skills, including an understanding of local slang and colloquialisms, to ensure seamless interaction with the client and their family.
Values-Driven: Someone who is down-to-earth, punctual, and possesses a "can-do" attitude.
Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Canberra area, including local parks, cafes, and community hubs.
Requirements
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
Reliable vehicle and a valid Australian Driver’s License.
Previous experience in disability support (highly regarded but not essential for the right personality fit).
Pay: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour
