Nursing Centred Care Australia is seeking a passionate and compassionate Male Carer to join our team in Smithfield, SA. As a Carer, you will play a vital role in providing personalised care and support to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life. This is a casual position, offering flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities and social interactions
Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the relevant healthcare professionals
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement personalised care plans for each client
What we're looking for
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to elderly and disabled individuals
Experience supporting clients with dementia or a strong understanding of dementia-related care needs
Relevant experience in the aged care or disability support sector, or a demonstrated commitment to the industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
A caring, patient, and empathetic nature, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each client
A current First Aid certificate
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability
Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
A Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for client visits
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
