About the Role
Nursing Centred Care Australia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Support Worker to join our team in Medindie, SA. In this role, you will provide person-centred care to a client with complex care needs, supporting them to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and daily living activities
Provide emotional support and companionship
Deliver high-quality care in line with individualised care plans
Monitor and report any changes in health or wellbeing
Follow all safety procedures, care standards, and organisational policies
Work collaboratively with the care team and healthcare professionals
Mandatory Requirements (Client-Specific Skills)
The successful candidatemust have current training and competency (with certification) in:
PEG Feeding
Bowel Care
Manual Handling
Catheter Care
Medication Administration
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
The following skills are highly regarded but not required:
Seizure Management
Emergency Medication Administration
Continence Assessment (Rectal)
Dysphagia Management
About You
Passionate about supporting individuals with complex care needs
Experience in disability or aged care (highly preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Ability to follow clinical care plans and instructions accurately
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability (preferred)
Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
