Job Title: Distribution Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Distribution Operations Manager to manage intermediary onboarding, commission processing, financial reconciliation, and compliance within the general insurance domain. The role involves close coordination with distribution partners, finance, IT, and compliance teams to ensure smooth operational execution and process automation.
Key Responsibilities
-Intermediary Onboarding
-Manage onboarding of agents, brokers, and other intermediaries as per business requirements
-Ensure completion of IRDAI-mandated documentation, licensing, and compliance
-Coordinate mandatory training programs (e.g., 15-hour IRDAI training)
-Maintain accurate intermediary master data in systems
-Commission & Financial Operations
-Handle end-to-end commission processing and disbursement
-Perform financial reconciliation and resolve discrepancies
-Maintain records of campaigns, incentives, and reward-based commissions
-Ensure timely and accurate payouts to intermediaries
-Process Improvement & Automation
-Drive process enhancements in commission and onboarding workflows
-Collaborate with IT teams for system development and automation
-Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes
Prepare SOPs, training manuals, and documentation for new processes
Stakeholder Management
-Act as a single point of contact for agents, brokers, and dealers for commission-related queries
-Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Compliance, and IT teams for issue resolution
-Ensure smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders
Reporting & Compliance
-Prepare and publish MIS and commission-related reports
-Ensure compliance with tax regulations including TDS and GST
-Support audits and regulatory requirements related to commission payments
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
-Bachelors degree in Commerce or equivalent
Experience:
-Minimum 5+ years of experience in distribution operations within the general insurance industry
-Strong exposure to intermediary onboarding, commission processing, and reconciliation
Key Skills & Competencies
-Intermediary onboarding & commission management
-Financial reconciliation & MIS reporting
-Process automation & system implementation
-SAP knowledge (preferred)
-Advanced MS Excel & MS Word
-UAT handling and documentation
-Strong understanding of IRDAI regulations, TDS & GST
-Stakeholder coordination & problem-solving skills
