About the Role

A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College, seeks expressions of interest for the position of a permanent full-time (1.0FTE) Gifted Education Teacher to join the Diverse Learning Faculty in Term 1, 2026. This role will work collaboratively within the Diverse Learning Coordinator and Team across all departments and year groups, undertaking responsibilities within the team, as required by the Diverse Learning Coordinator.

The Diverse Learning Faculty fosters a culture of continuous improvement committed to student-centered practice. The Gifted Education Teacher identifies High-Potential Learners within the College. This role works collaboratively with classroom teachers, learning support staff, and school leadership to promote an inclusive and differentiated approach to teaching and learning that nurtures academic excellence, creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional development among gifted students. Understanding the needs and challenges faced by students whose talents and skills in specific areas exceed those of their peers is essential to this role.

About You

The successful candidate will be an outstanding educator who is highly motivated to support Rosebank College's continued academic achievement by inspiring and developing innovative learning that engages and values every learner. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:


Demonstrated experience in teaching and/or coordinating programs for gifted and high potential learners.
Sound understanding of gifted education pedagogy, including differentiation, acceleration, and inquiry-based learning.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with teachers and leadership teams to improve student outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to ensure that students with diverse learning needs are identified, assessed, and appropriately supported
Experience in the coordination of Personalised Learning Plans for students with an identified disability
Experience in conducting internal and external testing
Development of effective teaching and learning strategies to address literacy and numeracy
Develop and facilitate innovative, effective, inclusive and NESA-compliant programs
Effectively manage the resources of the Diverse Learning department, both human and financial
Work effectively with young people to develop successful learning and study habits
Understand and show commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching
Possess proven ability to incorporate modern technologies into their teaching practice and convey passion about classroom innovation
A commitment to academic excellence and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that encourages academic excellence
Commitment to continual improvement and effective use of data to differentiate the curriculum and address the learning needs of all students
Ability to successfully integrate technology into everyday learning and planning,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, students and staff,
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team
Possess a valid and current Working with Children Check
A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College
Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
Support the College's Pastoral Program, including being responsible for a Home Room.
