About The Division And Team

Investment Banking (IB) and Cross Product Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that provides operational support to Deutsche Bank’s businesses. The Divisional Control Office (DCO) is a Risk Management function within Operations that executes all aspects of the Bank’s Operational Risk Management policies/frameworks.

About The Role

You will be responsible for the coordination of non-financial risk framework and control requirements within the operations unit (1st Line of defence) as defined by the Bank’s 2nd line risk functions. This will include oversight of key control inventories, control mapping and risk and control assessment processes inclusive of annual assurance planning.

The role will require close collaboration with operations management teams and the Bank’s risk functions, maintaining an understanding of the Bank’s evolving framework and coordinating implementation of those developing needs.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Understand the requirements of the Bank’s non-financial risk framework and track a range of framework implementation requirements.
• Manage coordination between operational stakeholders and 2nd Line Risk functions to effectively implement the Bank’s non-financial risk frameworks
• Coordination of cyclical and dynamic risk and control assessment (RCA) activities for IB and Cross Product Operations on an annual basis.
• Develop, track, and coordinate annual control owner assurance plans
• Provide subject matter expertise knowledge for operational stakeholders on the Bank’s risk and process taxonomies and understand connectivity of the Bank’s risk managements frameworks and mechanisms.

Your Skills And Experience
• Previous relevant experience in an operational risk and control function or Audit within Banking Operations with proven team leadership capability
• Understanding of risk management and control frameworks in a global banking control environment, with sound knowledge and understanding of banking activities, products, risk management techniques and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proven record of coordinating risk initiatives / framework implementation with diverse stakeholders on a global basis.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and critically with respect to governance, oversight, risk, control agendas. Strong organisational and planning skills and track record of delivery.
• Experience in performing/overseeing risk assessments with a familiarity of auditing/assurance standards/concepts.
