Role Description
Divisional Control Office (DCO) team ensures that the division operates with high levels of integrity. It is responsible for supporting the business by developing, implementing and maintaining a risk culture to ensure a strong and sustainable business control environment whilst minimizing risk arising from non-financial risk factors. DCO strategy includes improving the risk management information and strengthening the governance and risk culture.
The PB Germany DCO has functional responsibility for Audit and Regulatory governance, providing a central point of oversight over the Private Bank Germany Finding and Supervisory Obligations portfolio. DCO delivers consistent portfolio reporting to senior management to enable their understanding of the risk profile and the impact of control and process deficiencies.
In an ever-changing financial landscape within a global business model, the role of the Divisional Control Office has never been more important. A strong risk management culture helps to reinforce Deutsche Bank's resilience. The function identifies, aggregates, manages and mitigates risk across the core activities of operational risk management, supporting the Deutsche Bank PB Germany's strategies whilst protecting the Bank. The team works with cross-functional and global teams, collaborating with multiple stakeholders globally across the bank.

Your key responsibilities
Oversee the PB Germany's portfolio of Findings and Supervisory Obligations
• Provide MIS and commentary through the PB Germany's findings governance program to divisional stakeholders and senior management fora.
• Create quarterly status reporting for Supervisory Authorities
• Provide support and guidance to the Finding Owners / Project Managers on best practice finding management, risk management and Policy requirements
• Design and perform tests to assess Design and Operating Effectiveness of controls and processes implemented to close control deficiencies
• Ensure a high quality of documentary evidence is recorded in the Global Findings Management System (golden source data) for consumption by internal and external stakeholders
• Deliver high quality Global Governance decks and reporting trends to support senior management
• Assist the business lines capturing Self-Identified Control gaps, review and challenge remediation plans and ensure alignment across the bank's process, control and risk taxonomies
• Perform numerous recurring control processes that ensure the quality of findings data for downstream processes and reporting
Your skills and experience
Ability to question existing control framework and provide solutions to strengthen controls
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Knowledge related to risk management and PB products, processes and systems preferred
• Familiarity with DB organization a plus, but not mandatory
• Strong project management skills and a proactive team partner
• Influencing, negotiation skills and stakeholder management expertise
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with automating tasks in Excel to improve efficiency a plus, but not mandatory
Education & Experience
• Knowledge of non-financial risks and controls
• Proven experience of working with controls processes
• Relevant experience in the Retail Banking / Private Banking sector or several years of experience in financial services or consultancy (with Private Banking experience preferred but not essential)
• Experience working on small to medium scale projects at least within a global environment
• University degree
