Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM AI Applications business unit is seeking talented and motivated Software Developers to work on the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) family of products. In this role as Developer in the MAS Monitor EDC team, you will closely collaborate with other developers, UX designers and product managers using Scrum agile methodology, to develop new product capabilities and enhance existing features of the Dashboard. This is an exciting opportunity to work on an industry leading Enterprise Asset Management suite of products, together with a large and international team of very talented engineers.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 2+ years (Band 7) or 5+ years (Band 8) of experience in the industry working in agile software development teams.
• 2+ years (Band 7) or 5+ years (Band 8) in the industry proving strong developer experience with the Django framework.
• 2+ years (Band 7) or 5+ years (Band 8) in the industry proving strong Python-3 skills.
• Successful experience in developing secure, high-performance Django Backend Applications.
• Advanced understanding of Django and Python development-related libraries.
• Excellent knowledge of software design principles.
• Very good verbal and written English language communication.
• Experience in automated unit tests and integration tests.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Contributions to the Django or Python Django open-source projects.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Red Hat OpenShift deployment mechanisms.
• Experience using GitHub for software development and version control.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines.
