Hybrid Working
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction
The role is to help design, develop and maintain the Ab-Initio ETL processes on Hadoop and/or Cloud that are used to support the enterprise data environment with knowledge and experience working on Tableau reporting. Working closely with data architects to ensure the data models, ETL jobs, testing and data controls are aligned to strategic solutions. Supporting changes, SIT, UAT, OAT, Tech & Business Go-live activities which include inputs to the other teams like Run/Production Support Teams etc.
What will you be doing?
• Experience in developing ETL processes based on business requirements into Technology data solutions.
• You will understand and adopt the Data Governance Controls and principles and practice them in day to day activities.
• You will provide technically sound solutions for the ingestion, storage and presentation of enterprise data through ETL design in line with Business requirements/processes by creating Analytical Ready Data stores.
• Willing to learn and work on new technologies as required to deliver the client requirements
• Design, develop and deliver various Tableau reports.
• Work with Business Analysists/Stake Holders to implement the various reports
• Set up and follow best practices of building Tableau reports.
• Should learn to understand the importance of automation and focus on implementing in the development and execution process
• Accountable to work and deliver on Innovation agenda of the team. This involves new technologies, ideas, tools implementation for the team.
• Ensuring the code delivered is of defined Barclays standards
• Ensuring all the practices are being followed while delivering any code
• Overall accountability and end-to-end delivery responsibility of various digital dashboards
• The role will require work to be undertaken on multiple projects/releases at a time, collaborating with Analysts, Designers and developers within the project scope, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery.
• Always eager to set up high quality and coding standards for others to follow.
• Active participation in stakeholder forum
• Coach and train less experienced members of the team
• Identifying and resolving production and application development problems

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Assist in managing day-to-day testing activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day
• Confirm connectivity and readiness of test team
• Good knowledge on Linux/Unix Operating system
