Introduction: This role is for DMT Tester, who will work in the DMT Testing team to ensure the test coverage is continuously expanded and improved. Responsibilities includes to handle both Manual and Test automation tasks as per business needs. Successful applicant must embrace and adhere to Barclays values and culture.
What will you be doing? As a “Test Analyst” –
• Strong experience in QA – Manual and Automation
• Strong organizational skills along with the proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects / tasks across teams.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills, articulate communication / writing skills
• Mitigate risks to Business through timely, precise execution and validation of test plans
• Mitigates / escalates issues to Test Manager/Lead as appropriate
• Enthusiastic to learn and work in environments/technologies including Agile, AWS, BigData, MicroServices Architecture. Build test strategies for the same.
• Actively contribute to various innovation activities (under test automation) along with business deliverables
• Work with development team to create automated test scripts for enhancements/fixes and increase test coverage on applications
• Support SIT / UAT
• Assist Test Manager in managing day-to-day testing activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day
• Reverse engineer requirements and develop models as needed to support test automation
• Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure and produce test metrics and test reports
What we’re looking for:
• Good handson experience with Unix
• Good SQL skills
• Big Data / Hadoop based prior experience
• Hands-on experience in Agile environment
• STLC life cycle
• Knowledge of Python
Skills that will help you in the role:
• 5+ years of Software testing experience
• Strong object oriented programming knowledge
• Exposure to Test Driven Development and worked on Cucumber, Specflow or similar tools.
• Good to have experience in Investment banking
• Knowledge of scripting languages
• Must demonstrate effective communication with management, peers, and subordinates, both verbally and in writing
• Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains
• Strong teaming, problem solving and communications skills will be required
• Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision and have the ability to prioritize workloads quickly and efficiently.
