One Full-time PhD position is available for the following project under the ASCRIN Joint PhD program.
Project Title: Intelligent Intrusion and Anomaly Detection in Smart Air Pollution Monitoring Systems
BITS Supervisor: Prof. Barsha Mitra, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSIS
La Trobe Supervisor: Prof. Naveen Chilamkurti, Associate Dean (International Partnerships), Head of Cybersecurity Discipline, School of Computing, Engg. & Mathematical Sciences
Project Details:
• Secure Smart Air Pollution Monitoring (SAPM) systems from active & passive cyber attacks
• Prevent SAPM systems from malfunctioning and providing incorrect output
• Create an intelligent intrusion and anomaly detection system for SAPM systems
• Detect unauthorized entry, device subversion, false data injection, data modification
Duration: 4 years
Eligibility:
Minimum Qualification: ME/M.Tech or Equivalent
Desired Skills: Python programming, Basic idea about Security and Machine Learning
