Role Overview: We are looking for a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to support our Pain Management Specialists (PMS) in conducting interventional pain procedures. The RMO will play a critical role in ensuring impeccable clinical documentation and compliance, coordinating with partner hospitals, and managing post-procedure patient guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Documentation & Compliance:
● Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all interventional procedures, including: ○ Admission file accuracy ○ Procedure notes / OT notes ○ Discharge summary ○ Consent forms and allergy testing etc
● Identify gaps in documentation and proactively rectify them before and after procedures.
● Prepare all required documents for Pain Management Specialists (PMS) before the procedure.
● Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards for clinical documentation.
● Assist in the implementation of clinical SOPs to improve workflow and efficiency. 2. Assisting in Interventional Procedures:
● Provide pre-procedure assistance to the PMS, ensuring all documentation and patient records are ready.
● Work alongside the PMS during interventional procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to protocols.
● Prepare patient for procedure by conducting allergy testing, site marking, checking relevant investigations etc 3. Post-Procedure Patient Care & Visits :
● Conduct post op visits to ensure patients receive proper post-procedure guidance.
● Educate patients on post-procedure precautions, medication adherence, and recovery guidelines.
● Act as the first point of contact for patients needing follow-up guidance before discharge.
● Escalate any complications or concerns to the PMS as needed.
● Record pre procedure pain level as per Nivaan guidelines This role is pivotal in Nivaan’s aim to be the best and largest pain management clinic in India. The role offers opportunity for growth and training in advanced pain management protocols.
Requirements:
● MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized institution.
● 1-3 years of experience as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) or in a similar clinical role.
● Strong understanding of hospital operations and medical documentation.
● Excellent coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
● Ability to handle patient interactions with empathy and professionalism.
● Willingness to work in a fast-paced, process-driven healthcare environment.
● Prior experience in pain management, anesthesia, orthopedics, or critical care is a plus.
