The Documentation Coordinator in logistics plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of documentation related to the logistics operations of an organization. This position involves coordinating, organizing, and managing various types of documentation, including shipping records, invoices, customs documents, and compliance paperwork. The Documentation Coordinator works closely with different teams, such as the logistics team, warehouse personnel, and external vendors, to ensure accurate and timely documentation for all logistical activities.
Responsibilities:
Documentation Management: Manage and maintain all documentation related to logistics operations, including shipping documents, bills of lading, customs forms, and import/export paperwork.
Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as logistics, procurement, and warehouse, to gather required information and documentation for shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistical documentation, ensuring proper filing and archiving for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
Data Entry: Enter data from various sources into relevant systems or databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
Compliance: Stay updated with relevant industry regulations, import/export requirements, and compliance standards, ensuring all documentation adheres to legal and organizational guidelines.
Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as carriers, customs officials, and vendors, to obtain necessary documentation and resolve any documentation-related issues or discrepancies.
Skills Required:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics documentation
