DEN Urban Dog Retreat – Los Angeles, CA (Cypress Park)
Part-Time & Full-Time Available
DEN Urban Dog Retreat is a structured, holistic dog daycare and boarding facility seeking a reliable Dog Daycare Attendant / Kennel Technician to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in dog daycare, animal shelters, boarding facilities, veterinary offices, or professional pet care.
We are not a chaotic kennel. We run structured pack play and focused dog behavior management.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise dogs in structured daycare play groups
Monitor dog body language and behavior
Maintain safe pack play and prevent conflicts
Redirect unwanted behaviors calmly and confidently
Clean and sanitize kennels, yards, and play areas
Feed dogs and administer medications (as directed)
Assist with dog check-in and check-out
Maintain daily behavior and care notes
Support boarding and overnight care when needed
Follow all safety protocols and animal handling procedures
Required Skills & Experience
1+ year experience in dog daycare, kennel technician, animal shelter, boarding facility, or veterinary setting preferred
Strong knowledge of dog behavior and body language
Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40+ lbs
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Reliable transportation and punctuality required
Weekend availability preferred
CPR/First Aid certification for pets is a plus.
