About the Opportunity
Worksforyou Recruitment is currently seeking 3 experienced Dogmen (DG) for major commercial construction projects across the ACT and Queanbeyan region.
These roles are with a well-established and highly respected construction company known for its strong team culture, high safety standards, and positive site environment. The company places a strong emphasis on attitude, professionalism, and teamwork. They are building a team of people who support each other and contribute positively on-site — negativity and poor work ethic will not be tolerated.
For the right candidates, there is a full-time employment opportunity
All roles are paid under the EBA system, offering excellent industry rates and conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Slinging, directing, and controlling crane loads safely
Communicating clearly with crane operators via radio and hand signals
Conducting pre-lift checks and ensuring loads are secured correctly
Working closely with crane crews, riggers, and site supervisors
Maintaining strict adherence to site safety procedures and lift plans
Ensuring exclusion zones and safe lifting practices are followed
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have:
High Risk Work Licence - DG (Dogging)
Construction White Card
Asbestos Awareness Certificate
Silica Awareness Certificate
Proven experience working as a Dogman on commercial construction sites
Ability to work 40-50 hours per week
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Physical Assessment
Ability to pass Drug & ******* Screening
Minimum of 2 recent work references
