About The Position
Location: Port Pirie
Status: Full Time Fixed Term Contract - Expiration 31st December 2026
Closing Date for Applications: Friday, 9th of April.
The Domestic and Family Violence Service provides support to people who are at risk of, or are experiencing, domestic violence.
Working independently and as part of a team, you will support clients through the provision of professional high-quality case management, advocacy and counselling.
You will be facilitating the process of moving women and children experiencing, or at risk of, domestic violence toward independent and/or safe housing and delivering domestic and family violence education to individuals, groups, and the broader community to promote safety, awareness, and prevention.

Skills and Experiences:
You will:
Have a knowledge of the issues affecting domestic violence clients.
Be able to deliver group work to a diverse range of people.
Have the ability to establish positive, empowering relationships.
Advocate for and with your clients, ensuring their needs are the focus.
Be organised, plan to meet deadlines.
Have a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to engage respectfully with individuals and families experiencing vulnerability or risk.
It is essential for you to have:
Current Australian Drivers Licence.
Relevant experience in Case management and Service Coordination

Capacity to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
It is desirable for you to have:
Certificate IV (or above) in a Human Services related discipline.
A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related discipline (e.g. Social Work) will be highly regarded.
You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
