Draftsman/CNC Laser & Plasma Programmer – Day Shift
MSS Steel Inc is a well-established and long-standing steel services provider of laser cutting, plasma/oxyfuel cutting, forming and machining, is currently hiring a skilled Draftsman/CNC Plasma/Laser Programmer for our day shift. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1-2 years related experience (Knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks, Nesting Software is an asset) – and will be required to effiecntly produce cnc programs and maintian the fast pace shop enviroment.

Job Duties:
Experienced CNC programmer with minimum of 1-2 years in the metal fabrication industry
Knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks, Nesting Software (Omniwin, Lantek)
Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
Strong attention to detail
Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
Develop CNC programs for production runs
Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process
Able to read and interpret drawings and load files into the machine and computer
Identify and understand different grades and gauges/thicknesses of material
Organizing, labelling nestplans and work orders according to production
Proper monitoring of cutting process to ensure consistent results
Attention to detail and pride in work quality and output along with an ongoing desire for quality improvement
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to multi task under time pressure
Additional duties as required
Ability to work as a team or individually, as needed
Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
