Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2026.
The Crowd Artist is responsible for all aspects of shot composition and simulation of crowd elements under the direction of the Crowd Supervisor.

Job Description
Responsibilities: “What would you say you do here?”
Create an appealing performance for crowd characters from key framed cycles or motion capture data, using Crowd simulation software and motion editing tools.
Help develop and test what features and tools are required to craft desired performances.
Organize and present your work to relevant approvers and address notes accurately.
Help identify and solve problems in simulations, cycles, and renders.
Works well within a team and fosters a good working atmosphere.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: “What do I need to have in order to do this job?”
Experience working with crowd simulation software like Houdini, Golaem, or Massive
Experience composing character elements in scenes and performing to camera
Experience working in a Linux production environment

Must provide a reel/portfolio of work examples - if available, include a web address when you submit your resume

Proven experience working with crowds

Experience working with cycle animation, character animation, and/or motion capture
Scripting in languages like Python or VEX
Experience working with a USD based pipeline
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
Salary Range: $78,312 - $110,000
