KEY RESULT AREAS
Health, Safety and Environment
• Implement D&B management systems to proactively manage HSE outcomes in Mining Projects in line with the Thiess HSE policies and systems.
Community of Practice And Knowledge Sharing
· Develop a motivated D&B community within Thiess.
· Facilitate the D&B team to develop relationships and share knowledge across and within the BU's.
Operational Improvement or Value Adding
• Establish drill and blast standards and guidelines for Mining Operations.
• Improve the reliability D&B results by implementing safe and efficient D&B design solutions
• Coordinate with explosive suppliers to deliver reliable and cost effective supply of the products and services
People Development
· Establish a competency framework for the development of drill and blast capabilities in Mining Operations.
· Develop and facilitate the implementation of a training and development plan for D&B personnel in Mining Operations.
Innovation
• Encourage innovation and responsible risk taking within D&B team to improve the downstream value
• Establish a system to identify, evaluate and implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives in D&B based on Measure and Manage approach
• Facilitate the implementation of CI projects following the above system
