Job Description: Driver
We are currently seeking experienced and reliable drivers to join our team. As a driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and/or passengers to their destinations in a timely manner. This position is open to candidates across PAN India.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks, or buses, depending on the specific job requirements.
- Transport goods and/or passengers to their destinations, following predetermined routes or directions provided by the dispatcher.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, passengers, and other road users.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, such as checking oil, fuel, and water levels, and reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate department.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that occur during your shift.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with their belongings, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including dress code, punctuality, and attendance requirements.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
