Job Description
- Must have experience in the arborist / landscaping or forestry industry
- Must be able to drive a 5 ton manual transmission chip truck, as well as a pickup with a trailer
- Must be punctual, prepared, and have own transportation and a valid class 5 license
- Various tree pruning, yard clean ups, etc, lots of raking, shoveling, branch chipping. Operating a chainsaw, must be able to maintain a chainsaw and keep it operating (sharp, etc)
- Candidates with knowledge of the city, experience as a groundsman etc will be preferred.
- Must have a basic knowledge of mechanics. the successful candidate will arrive at the shop between 5 am and 6 am daily and have equipment ready for 8 am daily, ensure checklist of equipment is completed for each crew and that everything is in working condition.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
Experience:
• driving trucks and trailers: 2 years (Preferred)
• landscape / arborist: 1 year (Preferred)
