Job Description
This role requires a motivated and customer-service-focused individual with previous over-the-road experience to operate as a Delivery Driver for Trulite Glass/American Insulated Glass, LLC. The successful candidate will have a valid CDL Class A or B driver's license, good driving record, and be able to operate a manual transmission.
Job Description
The Delivery Driver will plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day, delivering glass to correct addresses and obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
Deliver glass to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary
Pick up glass along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested
Maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations
Evaluate the delivery vehicle's condition and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor
Load and unload trucks with glass scheduled for delivery
Assist in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed
Requirements
Must-haves:
Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license
Good driving record
No license restrictions
Able to operate manual transmission
Familiar with pre- and post-trip inspections and using online log systems
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience operating a Moffett and boom truck
Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
Ability to plan delivery routes
Ability to maintain basic logs and records
Previous warehouse experience
Work Environment
The work environment includes a physically demanding setting that requires bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting a minimum of 75 pounds, as well as extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year. Steel toe boots are required (not provided by the company).
