P&D Delivery Driver
Job Summary:
Purpose of the position (the “why”): We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and energetic person to join our team as a permanent full-time driver. The successful candidate will be required to operate various types of vehicles such as trucks, vans and cars in a safe manner while transporting personnel and equipment within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). You must have a valid Class “DZ” license with a clean driving record and a proven track record of safety on the road.
Main responsibilities of the position (the “what”):
Transporting goods, materials and personnel safely and efficiently between locations;
Maintaining vehicle records such as fuel consumption, repairs, etc.;
Performing pre/post trip inspections of vehicles before/after use;
Assisting with warehouse duties such as loading/unloading material when needed;
Keeping accurate records related to trips, deliveries, maintenance, etc.;
Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times;
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications for the position (the “who”):
Valid Ontario Class “DZ” license with a clean driving record;
Proven experience operating heavy duty vehicles;
Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety;
Excellent customer service skills;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends and statutory holidays;
Willingness to travel as required;
Comfortable working outdoors;
Comfortable working in confined spaces;
Comfortable working with chemicals.
