Corporate Banking is a technology centric business, with an increasing move to real-time processing, an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems, and access to supporting data. Our Engineers work on a diverse range of solutions using cutting-edge technology every day and are currently working on brand new development of critical platforms that will be directly used by some of the world's largest Corporate Clients. The Payments & Cheques provide the technology for payments, one of the most fundamental and critical capabilities of the Corporate Bank's Cash Management business. We support the full range of payment types, clearing systems and client types across the globe, from bulk low-value payments made by corporate clients, to 24x7 instant payments made by retail clients, to professional high-value payments made by financial institutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support global worldwide platform with 24x7 availability, face the challenges of distributed stateful system, and focus on nonfunctional requirement (reliability, performance, efficiency) as well as seamless operations and operational transparency.

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and rollout new features
• Perform code reviews
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) team on test automation
• Contribute to the vision to understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with experience, and build an engineering culture within the team
• Deliver high quality software while passionate about software engineering
• Develop support software and liaise with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to factor in their requirements
Your Skills and Experience:
• Proficient understanding of software development concept (good understanding of Cloud is a plus)
• In depth knowledge of core Java, Spring and Spring Boot
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, helm, Kafka/IBM MQ messaging, and scripting language such as Linux
• Knowledge of Java Script, Angular JS/Angular, HTML, CSS, Oracle database, Structured Query Language (SQL) and ORM Technologies
• Experience with modern software development life cycle (SDLC) tools (Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity), deploying to or migrating to/from cloud services like Google Cloud, and wide swaths of common software stacks and software development lifecycle including but not limited to front end, backend, ETL applications, low latency applications and continuous integration/continuous deployment or deployment (CI/CD)

• Mentoring developers and providing insight
• Working with product owners to build fit for purpose solutions
• Communicating across development and infrastructure teams for end-to-end delivery
