An exciting opportunity has opened for Afterhours Nurse Managers within our Hospital Access Team.
Opportunities exists for motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join us as an Duty Nurse Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating clinical services across the organisation in this role is over the 24-hour period AM, PM and ND.
This role will assume overall responsibility of the organisation, ensuring appropriate patient care, staffing, safety and security.
This is a key leadership role that is accountable for the effective and efficient management of all human and material resources within the Clinical Services. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and service provision within the hospital.
The role requires working with and supporting other senior nurses, nursing teams and departments/services in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
Essential
Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (Registered Nurse)
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and extensive clinical skills and experience
Sound understanding of contemporary Human Resources Management practices
You will also be responsible for bed management.
Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program
Ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
Ability to lead and motivate others.
Desirable
Post graduate qualifications in a clinical speciality area
Post graduate qualifications in Health Administration and/or Management
Previous experience in a management position
Sound Computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook)
