Job Title- R0181020 Azure WVD Lead Engineering
Location- Pune
Role Description
DWS Azure Desktop lead engineer will be responsible for management of Azure WVD ( Managed,Standard) as part of DWS EUC strategy. The Role will work closely with EUC team on building, rolling out of WVD’s as part of user migration activity from onPrem onto Azure cloud. Will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of WVD operations by working with build and service operations team. An excellent opportunity to join us in one of the major transformations as we migrate from onPrem onto cloud.

Your key responsibilities
As you help us shape our new environment and ways of working your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Designing, developing, and debugging scalable End User Computing Solutions
Azure Image creation/customization/upgrades
Involvement in operations support at L2/L3 level
Proficient Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Cloud VDI operation managing Azure Virtual Desktop / WVD, FSlogix
Designing and Implementation of Azure Virtual Desktop architecture
Implementing and configuration of user identities and profiles
Working experience in implementing and managing networking & storage for AVD
Creating managed pooled and personal VDI host pools
Plan and implement a disaster recovery plan and backup strategy for Windows Virtual Desktop
Install and configure apps on a session host
Automate Windows Virtual Desktop management tasks
Your skills and experience
Azure Virtual desktop design
Ability to code in PowerShell
Can build pipelines using Azure DevOps and yaml
Excellent Azure infrastructure experience covering firewalls, proxies, express route, policy
M365 skills
Expertise in technical implementation of Azure WVD including optimisation
Understanding of Network and Storage Virtualizations
Keen attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Ability to actively manage workloads to meet business and department requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong listening skills
