Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate & work closely with PD, Tech pack, sampling teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
- Assist in establishing best in class design process across different product category
- Should have a good technical skill in areas such as pattern cutting, grading and garment construction.
- Understand the technical guidelines form various departments while design & sampling process of garment
- To Create/visualize an idea and producing a design by hand sketch or using computer-based software.
- Working with others in the design team, such as Graphic Designers, Textile designers, Pattern makers to meet deadlines.
- To keep up to date with emerging and upcoming fashion trends, competition as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours, customer preference etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Minimum experience of 3-5 years in design of menswear (casual or formal category)
2. A fashion graduate/postgraduate from NIFT is mandatory
