E2E DBA Architect
Technical Skills:
• Database (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Database (NoSQL): Couchbase, Cassandra , ElasticSearch
• Cloud Managed Database like Aurora RDS , PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Replication tools like Couchbase XDCR, Mirroring, Log Shipping, MSSQL Clustering, Always on, PG Physical and Logical replication
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python
• Version Control System: Git VCS Repo: GitLab
• Work alongside multiple Production Support, Development, System Admin, Project Managers and Engineering teams Provide database design, configuration, end to end support for RDBMs/ NoSQL databases, upgrades, query performance & tuning analysis and best practice implementation for distributed and clustered forms
• Ensure all current and newly built databases adhere to strict set of standards Technical expert for portfolio of NoSQL and RDBMs databases specifically Couchbase, Cassandra, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Working with Development teams - Design & Code Reviews, SQL support, Change Request validation
• Query Performance Analysis & Tuning, including maintenance of monitoring scripts and reporting their results Managing Couchbase/Cassandra/MSSQL/PostgreSQL Database Cluster both in cloud env
• DR and HA architecture design
• Various Database automations
Responsibilities:
• Design, build and maintain the database platform to provide stable and secure services.
• Proposing and designing plans for database systems based on various factors like capacity planning/lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Should be able to install, deploy, parameters configuration of Databases on any of the platforms Linux/windows/k8s
• Automating our daily operations and processes to maximize the productivity
Desirable Skills :
• Knowledge of DevOps practices – Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Performance measurement and monitoring tools like – JMeter, Grafana
• Highly experienced in traditional waterfall methodology and or Agile/ SCRUM Delivery
• Unix shell scripting
• Experience of deployment on Linux, Mac OS operating systems
• Used version source control systems such as Git or SVN
• Experience of presenting solutions to clients
• Internal & External Stakeholder management
