Job Description
Are you an Aircraft structures technician looking to get off the tools? Or perhaps you're a technical officer looking for a change? Want to utilise your extensive technical experience but aren't sure what the next step in your career looks like? This role with Boeing Defence Australia supporting the E-7A Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft could be the role you've been looking for! Your new position will initially support technical publication development for our United States Airforce customer but could later branch out into supporting other international programs. This role is flexible and can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Williamtown.
Responsibilities
AEW&C SME responsibilities will include:
Development and review of critical and routine technical publication revision tasks for AEW&C customers
Communicating clear instructions for incorporation of technical publication tasks to ensure cost, schedule and quality targets are met; and
Working closely with AEW&C Coordinators and Execution Leads to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve project revision deliveries.
Experience/Qualifications
Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures)
Experience in maintenance and or operations of Boeing 737 or AEW&C aircraft would be highly regarded
The ability to evaluate technical source data and specifications
Experience in authoring technical publications
The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
The ability to analyse problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines
Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance
Current Australian Citizenship
Technical knowledge of military systems.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
