Job Description

Eureka College of Canada is seeking a dedicated and experienced instructor to deliver our Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) – Child Health, Safety and Nutrition program.

This program prepares students with foundational knowledge in child development, safety, and nutrition, and supports them in applying for ECEA certification through the BC ECE Registry equivalency process.

We are looking for an instructor who is engaging, organized, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment for adult learners.

Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

A diploma in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Care and Education, along with at least two (2) years of full-time experience working in an early childhood setting
OR

A minimum of ten (10) years of full-time experience in the early childhood field
AND

Must hold a valid certification and be in good standing with the
Early Childhood Educator Registry

Key Responsibilities

Deliver course content in accordance with the approved curriculum and schedule
Facilitate both in-class and/or online instruction as required
Guide students through key topics including child health, safety, and nutrition
Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities
Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, and participation
Provide timely feedback and academic support to students
Maintain accurate attendance and student records (Google Classroom or similar)
Ensure a respectful, inclusive, and professional classroom environment
Participate in program improvement and comply with PTIRU requirements
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 22 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in New Westminster, BC V3M 1G2
