Job Duties
Recognized relevant four-year degree (Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Child and Youth Studies, Bachelor’s in Child Development).
A minimum of two years recent and relevant experience working in a licensed childcare centre or as an ECE instructor with experience monitoring students during onsite practicums.
Ability to travel including overnight stay is required.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Experience developing and/or maintaining industry partnerships.
Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
Experience mentoring students.
Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
Understanding Indigenous Ways of Knowing, Being and Doing, and how these can be applied when working with Indigenous Peoples and communities.
Demonstrates valuing diversity.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Specific Accountabilities

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide quality assessment of prior learning and experiences, and to support eligible ECE students in development of a learning plan to demonstrate competency.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students throughout the PLAR process.
Assess materials submitted by PLAR candidates.
Provide on-site assessment of students.
Coordinate results with Program Head
Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform.
Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
Develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, and as required, set up and supervise students in a practical work placement.
Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Ability to travel including overnight stays is required.
