Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Position Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Location: Petite Smile Daycare

Chilliwack , BC

Terms: Permanent, part-time up to 32 hours/week

Shift: Monday to Friday, shifts varying between 8:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: $1+-$22 per hour for ECEA License

Experience: experience an asset

Start Date: 15 May 2025

Tasks:

Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

Storytelling

Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts

Caretaking duties ( such as diaper changes, nap time , feeding or dressing)

General cleaning duties

Creating developmentally appreciate curriculum and art projects

Guide children’s behaviors

Develop and maintain safe environment for kids

Support children positively

Guide children with art , circle and engaging experience

Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children

Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Supervision

5-6 people

Qualifications/Experience:

Basic ECEA certification from a program recognized in British Columbia is required

Good verbal and written communication skills

Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certificate required

3 professional reference checks to be completed

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check

Immunization record

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $1+.00-$22.00 per hour
