Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fifth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing, transport and health care. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Early Childhood Educator – Diploma (Kindergarten)
Hourly Rate: $30.58 to $32.05 (rate dependent on level of experience)

Part Time (6 hrs 20 min per fortnight) – Permanent
Dolena Young Kindergarten are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the position of Early Childhood Educator – Diploma (Kindergarten). The service is located in North Shepparton and provides a funded Kindergarten educational program.
This role is a part time permanent position, 6hrs 20min per fortnight, every second Thursday currently 8.30am – 3.20pm, during school terms only. If you are enthusiastic, enjoy working with children and adults and are willing to work within a team to provide an inclusive environment that supports the community, then this is the job for you.
At Dolena Young Kindergarten we aim to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for all children and families.
We believe in offering a play based, open ended program, with educators engaged in supporting children to build on their ability to communicate effectively and develop language and literacy skills and enhance their social and emotional development. Through the promotion of active play, our children will develop and understanding of the environment and the world.
The successful applicant will have the support of the Early Years Team and professional development opportunities.
Successful applicants will hold:
Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care recognised by ACECQA
Current First Aid – HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Criminal History Check (valid within six months).
Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check Card (WWCC).
Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood

Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period.
