Mt. Arrowsmith Childcare Ltd. is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in beautiful Parksville, BC. We’re looking for someone who loves working with children, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive space for early learning and development.
What We Offer:
Hourly Wage: $23/hour
ECE Wage Enhancement: Additional $6/hour through the BC Wage Enhancement Program
Benefits Package: Available after 6-month probation period
Paid Time Off:
4% vacation pay
Additional 3 weeks paid vacation at seasonal closures
Paid sick days
Qualifications:
Valid Early Childhood Educator certification license to practice in British Columbia required
Valid First Aid certification
Clear Criminal Record Check
2 Reference letters
Immunization records
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine love for working with children
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Support children’s emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Tentative Start Date: August 2026
