Hours: Must be available to work between the hours of 7:30 am to 5:30 pm

Location: Sister school of First Academy, in Suzhou China.

Responsibilities:

Strong commitment to providing quality care, service, and support to children and their families.
Must have a good sense of humor and a positive attitude towards learning and taking challenges.
Understands and complies with provincial, and municipal regulations.
Plans and implements a consistent curriculum based on Creative Curriculum
Completes required documentation of children’s development and interactions.
Attends required curriculum training and all other relevant professional development opportunities necessary for the position.
Seeks opportunities to deepen connections and increase engagement of parents and children in care.
Adheres to work schedule to ensure the program stays within ratio and provides required adequate notice to supervisor regarding unexpected scheduling changes.
Understands the legal responsibilities and moral imperative to report suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services.
Understands the importance of the volunteer staff partnership and integrates the value of philanthropy and volunteerism in dealings with members, volunteers, donors, and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Early Childhood Education diploma, Bachelor's Degree (not necessarily ECE major) required, for work visa application.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children
Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity. Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and volunteers
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, ability to work split shifts, early morning and mid-late afternoons, and evenings
A capacity to work within a team and be part of a large multi-service, charitable Association
Must be able to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; maybe exposed to heat, humidity, or cold
All staff working with children are required under the Child Care and Early Year’s Act to have a valid standard first aid certification including infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before the first day of work
Up-to-date immunization record (plus 2 step TB test)
Clear Police Reference Check
at least 2 reference letters from previous employers
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From CAD 66,000-CAD 80,000 per year depending upon experience
