Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to work as a fulltime float staff and Inclusion Coordinator, at our main location that serves children ages 4 months - 5 years. This is a summer term position from June 1st - August 31, with possible extension or permeant position, with review of employment and possible openings.
Requirements:
ECE Level 2 or Level 3 certification is required. (Applications from Level 1, untrained or entry level individuals will not be considered right away.)
Experience working with children is an asset.
Experience working in and knowledge of inclusion and child development an asset.
Recent experience (within the past 5 years) in a childcare environment is preferred.
Knowledge of and/or experience with play-based learning environments is an asset.
Current Child Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check, and Emergency First Aid & CPR “C”.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote children’s growth and learning.
Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports the well-being and development of all children.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and needs.
Collaborate with team members to enhance programs and support inclusive learning environments.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with all policies and procedures.

Pay: $25.42-$2+.64 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
