YOUR ROLE

We're currently looking for an Early Intervention Specialist to join our team, working hybrid based in our Surrey, BC office, or working remotely in the PST/MST time zone. The Early Intervention Specialist works with employees, employers, treatment providers and insurance carriers to facilitate a safe and sustainable return to work for employees on medical leave. They act as a subject matter expert for employers, providing advice and recommendations on disability management and return to work.

YOUR IMPACT

You will describe the typical tasks this role performs on a day-to-day basis.
You will conduct review of new files upon receipt, completes initial interviews with employees and employers to gather relevant claim information and develop a plan of action moving forward
You will review employer/employee group benefit coverage in WEBS Online Administration including verifying policy requirements, benefit coverage, and eligibility details
You will request and assess medical information to gather a more extensive understanding of the nature of the employee’s disability, any ongoing functional limitations or restrictions, and prognosis for return-to-work
You will create and maintains a comprehensive file management plan for each assigned file that focuses on promoting recovery and return-to-work
You will utilize/provide resources to aid in case management and return-to-work where appropriate
You will follow-up with employees(cases)on a regular basis to monitor recovery and explore options for return-to-work and reaches out for support if there are complex barriers
You will regularly updates employers on employee’s progress.
You will collect information regarding job duties/demands and conducts an analysis to provide employee and employer with options or accommodations for return-to-work
You will develop return-to-work plans in collaboration with employee, employer, treatment team, and carrier where applicable and monitors progress until plan is completed
You will keep full and complete notes of all file interactions and completes all required fields in case file.
Where applicable, assists with application facilitation and follows-up to ensure forms are completed correctly and submitted on a timely basis
You will respond to all emails and voicemails received from clients within GHFOC SLA’s.
You will prepare standard and non-standard letters for clients in response to specific requests or in accordance with file management procedures.
THIS IS YOU

A post-secondary education preferably in a health-related field (nursing, psychology, social work, kinesiology) or in human resources
At least 1-2 years of customer service experience with related experience/knowledge of employee benefits preferred
Knowledge of disability management and return-to-work best practices
Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment both as a team player and independently

YOUR COMPENSATION

At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary pay range for this position is $55,000-$60,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
