Key Responsibilities
• Implementing the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework within the Early Years setting.
• Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that cater to individual learning needs and promote inquiry-based learning.
• Creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social-emotional development.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary units of inquiry that align with IB standards and cater to the holistic growth of students.
• Assessing student progress through ongoing observation, formative assessments, and authentic tasks, while maintaining accurate records of their development.
• Establishing positive partnerships with parents/guardians to foster a cohesive learning community and provide regular updates on students' progress.
• Actively participating in professional development opportunities and staying updated on best practices in Early Years education and IB pedagogy.
Qualifications And Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a relevant field. IB certification or experience with the IB curriculum is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working with children in an Early Years setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of child development and educational methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic growth of young learners.
• Adaptability, creativity, and a passion for fostering inquiry-based learning experiences.
