MC Technical Recruitment are partnered with a leading provider of energy from waste solutions for the recruitment of an EC&I technician at an Energy from Waste plant in York.
The new facility employs a professional team of maintenance & shift operational staff, processing domestic waste to produce electrical power.
We are actively seeking to recruit an experienced EC&I Technician, to work a Monday to Friday days rota, carrying out planned & preventative maintenance across the power generation facility.
As The EC&I Technician, You Will Be Responsible For
• Carry out planned & reactive maintenance on process plant
• Investigating & rectifying electrical faults to minimise plant downtime
• Supporting the operations team in daily maintenance activities
• Responding to breakdowns to ensure continuous operations
• Recommend plant spares & repairs to Maintenance manager
• Assist the maintenance manager with statutory inspections
• Liaise with operations team regarding fault finding & modification to process equipment
• Working on a days basis to support operations across the site
• Any other duties as required
To Be Considered For This Role You Should Have
• A relevant engineering qualified (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.)
• Proven experience in EfW or relevant sector (Biomass / CCGT / energy from waste / Water)
• Extensive experience of carrying out maintenance on electrical process equipment such as steam boilers, turbines, pumps, water treatment plant & conveyors
• Knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
• Marine Engineers with experience of working on steam raising plant will also be considered for this role
This is a permanent position based in York; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.
