Due to increased demand for services the Office of Chief Economist is expanding and now requires an additional early career economist to join the team. This role is well suited to candidates at the beginning of their career who are looking for a collaborative, team‑based environment that offers hands‑on experience across a broad range of economic work, supported by strong learning and development opportunities and a clear career pathway for high performers.

As a core member of our team, you will:

Contribute to economic analysis and assist in the preparation of high‑quality reports and presentations.
Employ sophisticated methodologies and tools to dissect and understand a spectrum of economic considerations, ranging from labour markets to fiscal policies.
Support economic and statistical modelling activities that inform macroeconomic forecasts and contribute to the Quarterly Economic Outlook.
Assist with market and industry research, working with macroeconometric models to develop practical insights and support strategic advice for clients.

Qualifications
A post-graduate qualification in Economics (minimum First Class Honours in Economics). Candidates who have recently completed, or are close to completing, a higher degree are strongly encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical capability and excellent written communication skills are essential.
Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.
As this is an entry‑level role, prior experience is desirable but not essential.
