Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Flow Manager to join our Emergency Department team at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. As a key member of the department, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth patient flow, reducing wait times, and improving overall efficiency.
About the Role:
Manages patient flow throughout the Emergency Department.
Collaborates with Clinical Coordinators, Nurses, and Medical Team members to facilitate timely patient movement.
Develops and implements strategies to improve patient flow and reduce wait times.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with ED Physicians to identify patients eligible for results pending.
Manages the flow of incoming EMS & direct transfers.
Maintains awareness of throughput metrics, such as LWBS and LOS.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year healthcare or administrative experience.
Associates degree preferred.
Strong customer service, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
