Job Title: Editor / Content Writer
Reports to: Director
Location: Vashi
Background: Bachelor in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field

The content inflow for this portal not only includes news, analysis, interviews, and success stories but it also has a window of opportunity to enhance the profitability of the business, personalized networking with subject matter experts, and insightful market research data.
The initiative has Entrepreneurs and CXOs of organizations as the core audience. The whole experience of being part of smeventure.com is aimed at contributing great value to the business growth.
Job Purpose:
To enhance the impact and effectiveness of the SMEVenture and CXOXpert website and social media activities, by producing and curating content for our platforms.
Main duties and responsibilities:
● Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
● Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style, and layout
● Create and publish engaging content for websites, blogs, e-mailers, brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, webinars, conferences, podcasts, and webcasts
● Write scripts along with hosting and moderating sessions also taking quotes when required
● Edit, proofread, and improve writers’ posts
● Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency
● Optimize content according to SEO
● Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
● Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
● Develop an editorial calendar and ensure the content team is on board
● Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
● Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attention
Requirements and skills:
● Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Editor
● Hands-on experience with MS Office and Word Press
● Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
● Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
● Familiarity with social media
● Excellent writing skills in English
● Attention to detail
● Good organizational and time-management skills
● Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a relevant field
