Job Summary:
Join Amazon.com as an editor responsible for maintaining process documentation (SOP) used by internal support teams. Your primary focus will involve working within a content management system to stage and publish SOPs for internal support team utilization. Collaborating with Content Management Specialists, you will transform SOP drafts into the required coded format for the Content Management System (CMS), perform copy editing, and publish the documents to the SOP repository.
Responsibilities:
Work within a complex staging system identifying marketplaces and languages supported by the SOPs.
Ensure quality and usefulness of all content published to the SOP repository.
Collaborate with Content Specialists to enhance SOPs before publishing.
Seek clarity in ambiguous situations to enhance customer experience.
Prioritize work efficiently, manage a queue of tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
Adapt to changing priorities and production responsibilities while working well in a team environment.
Skills:
Proficient in English writing with a keen eye for correcting grammar and spelling errors.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Ability to work independently under time constraints while being customer-focused.
Experience with XML-based publishing systems is required.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in an editor or lead writing role.
Proven ability to collaborate with developers and write for a developer audience.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Passion for thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Familiarity with web services and related technologies is advantageous.
