Job Description
• Communicating with authors on all aspects of projects, Editorial Coordinator will serve as second point of contact when the Acquiring Editor is unavailable
• Working with Editors, Production team to assure projects are done on time and on budget;
• Facilitate communication among parties about the status of projects;
• Maintain and keep team informed about big picture of project including status of all parts in relation to stage of development, schedule, and budget
• Preparing complex projects for proposal and turnover including completion of all database information related to production and answering questions/concerns from Production, Marketing, Manufacturing, and other staff working on projects
• Coordinating and administering work of outside suppliers and consultants related to editorial stages of product development
• Preparing and completing of manuscript permissions and releases
• Development work as needed by the Acquiring Editors, including library and internet research, manuscript alterations/preparation, preparation of artwork for scanning Administrative Duties include: Acknowledging manuscripts
• Tracking proposals
• Maintaining databases and comprehensive spreadsheets
• Coordinating meetings
• Basic office responsibilities (photocopying, scanning, correspondence)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communication, or related field.
• Excellent communication skills. (Written & Verbal )
• Minimum 3 years Industry experiences
